Mark Wildman’s cool down routine

Mark Wildman’s Youtube channel is a goldmine of fantastic advice on all things strength and mobility. His tutorials for Kettlebell and Club work are some of the best (if not the best) you can find, and he’s producing top quality content daily for free. He’s a very nice guy to boot…

One thing we can all benefit from is more mobility work. If you’re practicing Movnat, all the ground movement work falls mostly in that category. But a mobility routine focused on counteracting the effects of our modern lifestyle on our bodies is very precious to have.

Below is Mark’s cool down routine, which you can do at the end of a training session, the end of the day, or anytime and anywhere you want 🙂

Cool down postures 1 - the Sphinx for spinal extension. Crucial for heavy lifters

Cool down 2 - flex the spine, easiest version - Forward Fold

Cooldown 3 - Hip flexor stretch - ideal for any population

Cooldown 4 - Pigeon pose - open your hips for better quality of Life

Cooldown 5 - Seated Spinal twist - Straight leg variation - for spine and hip
