Established in 2014, the business was inspired by a fun craft project that evolved into a passion for minimalist footwear. Deliberate Life Designs uses high-quality materials such as Vibram rubber and repurposed rock climbing slings to craft durable, comfortable sandals. The founder’s own adventures, from trail ultras to thru-hiking Vermont’s Long Trail, have tested and proven the quality of these sandals.
The production process requires minimal space, allowing the founder to maintain a small, eco-friendly footprint. As a result, the workshop can travel with the founder and his family, who lead a sustainable, adventurous lifestyle in their self-built Skoolie (a school bus/tiny house conversion). This unique approach reflects the values of living deliberately and embracing customization in all aspects of life. Each sandal is uniquely designed, keeping the crafting process engaging and enjoyable.
