Meet Richard Scrivener, a seasoned fitness professional with a career spanning over two decades. Based in London, Richard brings a wealth of experience and expertise in fitness and nutrition.
As an Animal Flow Master Instructor, Richard advocates for this movement training system, not only as an instructor but also as an avid learner from his diverse community of coaches. He views Animal Flow as a fundamental tool for every fitness coach, offering a dynamic, empowering way to train the body.
Richard’s qualifications are impressive, including an MSc in High Performance Physiology from Brunel University, a First Class Honors Sports Science Degree from University of Bedfordshire, and certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the Centre for Nutrition Education & Lifestyle Management (CNELM).
In addition to his role as an instructor, Richard is the research and development manager for TRAINFITNESS. His previous roles have seen him working within professional sports such as Rugby Union, Soccer, Judo and Boxing, and as the lead health and fitness advisor for Universal Pictures.
Richard’s passion for continued learning extends beyond his professional interests. He practices Capoeira and enjoys bodyweight and kettlebell training, weightlifting, and even astronomy. His approach to health is holistic, promoting the concept of building health from the ground up for sustainable and lasting results.
