Skill, strength, and play-based group fitness and personal training for humans age 0-100.
Force of Nature Movement is the coaching and training business of Shelby Copeland. Shelby recently began shifting her career into fitness and wellness because high quality coaching and learning to move well had a huge beneficial impact on her life. As someone living with chronic pain and invisible illness, rebuilding strength and finding capability in her body was a powerful healing tool. She hopes to help others be prepared for life’s obstacles and adventures. Shelby is a MovNat Level 3 Certified Trainer candidate and is a certified personal trainer through NASM.
Shelby uses MovNat as her primary training modality, but also has taught and competed in the sport of Ninja. In 2022 she competed on American Ninja Warrior Season 14 and placed in national finals through UNAA in 2023. In addition to ninja, Shelby uses parkour as a modality to engage kids ages 5-18 in exploring their environments and learning confidence and discipline. She also teaches seniors ages 65 and up parkour fundamentals as a method of fall prevention as a PK Silver Coaching Specialist. Ninja, parkour, and MovNat all have the common thread of playfulness, creativity, and adventure that Shelby loves helping folks navigate and discover for themselves.
Shelby also offers the unique opportunity for female clients to train with their menstrual cycles. Shelby co-developed the fitness program Move With Your Cycle that allows women to train in harmony with each phase of their cycle using natural movement as a modality.
Shelby is married and has two young children. She enjoys rock climbing, ninja, parkour, aerial arts, jiu-jitsu, OCR, fresh water surfing, hiking with her family, and learning new things.
