Devrath Vijay, is a fitness coach who uniquely blends his love for nature, movement, and spirituality into his training philosophy. A computer science graduate turned fitness enthusiast, he believes in the limitless potential of functional movement patterns that nourish both body and mind.

Dev’s journey began when he left his software engineering career in 2012 to pursue his passion for fitness. Gaining extensive industry experience in various roles across gyms in Bangalore, Dev soon transformed his passion into a profession. He co-founded the functional training gym ‘Academy of Strength’ and the SweatyNinjas™ platform. His training clientele ranges from Bollywood celebrities to international sportsmen, and everyday individuals seeking a healthier lifestyle.

Apart from his one-on-one coaching, Dev also dedicates his time to train and certify future trainers. His training methods are accessible both online and at his physical training facility.

Dev is a master instructor of Animal Flow, a bodyweight movement discipline that bridges strength and flexibility. He champions this technique for its natural and primal focus, reinforcing his belief in organic, sustainable fitness practices.

Notable experiences in Dev’s career include representing India on the adventure reality show ‘Spartan X’ and being a finalist on the ‘MTV Reebok Ultimate Fitness Fan’ show. He also boasts a silver medal from the EKFA All India Kettlebell Championships 2015 and a gold from The Wild Warrior Obstacle Race in 2018.

His qualifications include:

  • Animal Flow Master Instructor
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS)
  • IFAA (International Fitness and Aerobics Academy) Master Trainer
  • Incrato Level 1 Trainer (Strength and Conditioning)
  • Accredited Rehab Trainer

Dev’s approach to fitness is a holistic one. He invites you to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually, to understand your body better through movement, and most importantly, to have fun while doing it.
