Located in East Toronto, Pegasus Dance Studios, founded in 1986 by Lynda Johnson and Jane Davis-Munro, offers an enriching environment for children’s growth through dance and art. This center caters to various age groups, from infants to high school graduates, ensuring a tailored experience for each child.
Pegasus provides a range of programs, including special classes for children with diverse needs, leadership courses, summer programs, and RAD ballet exams. New students are encouraged to try a trial class, allowing a firsthand experience of the studio’s offerings.
From its initial setup in a basement to its current expansive facility, Pegasus boasts four professional dance studios, an art studio, and comfortable communal areas, preserving a strong community and family-oriented atmosphere. The guiding philosophy, inspired by Misty Lown, focuses on using dance and art to foster great individuals, not just great dancers.
The studio features a wide spectrum of dance and art programs for children of all ages. Its inclusive environment includes special programs and summer activities. Trial classes are available for new students. A team dedicated to quality arts education and community engagement supports Pegasus.
Pegasus is more than a dance studio; it’s a community hub where creativity, expression, and personal growth are nurtured in a supportive setting. It’s a place where children learn the values of art and dance, fostering their development into confident, creative individuals.
